About Us

The Welcome Wellspring is here to support the legacy of wellness for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for our planet.

Our work focuses on improving health and wellness opportunities by offering scholarships to individuals seeking services such as mental health counseling, holistic therapies, fitness programs, and psychedelic-assisted therapies. By collaborating with local wellness practitioners and clinics, we help bridge the gap for those who may not afford these essential services. We also emphasize community outreach and education and offer our own events and retreats that support mental and physical health.

As we heal ourselves, we support healing for those around us.  From small interactions to intimate relationships, our well-being impacts the world we inhabit.  For many, services that are vital for well-being may be financially unattainable. But health should not be a luxury.  Everyone deserves to have the support they need to experience peace, restoration, and wellness.

Our Services

We provide scholarships for various wellness services, including mental health counseling, yoga, acupuncture, psychedelic-assisted therapies, fitness classes, reiki, breathwork, mindfulness, somatic processing, and more. Our organization partners with local wellness providers to ensure that recipients can access diverse and holistic health options. Additionally, we conduct events and retreats that support mental and physical health.

At this time, our services are focused in Arizona. We hope to expand offerings to other states.

Our funding comes primarily through donations from individuals and foundations that support our work and partnerships with local businesses. We are currently expanding our capacity to apply for grants. We are actively seeking sponsorships and collaborations with health-related organizations and engage in community fundraising efforts to ensure sustainability and growth for our scholarship programs.

Why is this Needed?

Having worked in the wellness industry for nearly 30 years, our founder, Kewal Wright, has had an up-close view of the disparity between those who can access such services and those who can’t.  Working across numerous fields including yoga, mental health services, reiki, and psychedelic-assisted therapies, a common thread of unmet needs emerged and highlighted the lack of accessibility. Kewal helped to create a successful scholarship program with another non-profit focused on psychedelic-assisted education and experiences for healthcare providers and saw the ripple effects of making services available.  Not only did the individuals experience meaningful change, but their families and communities benefitted as well. Continuing to receive communications and requests about needs for the general population from community connections and strangers alike, it was undeniable that this kind of support is needed.

People want to feel better. They often just need the resources to do so.

Access to wellness services like yoga, acupuncture, fitness, and therapy is often limited by financial barriers, which disproportionately affect low-income individuals and marginalized communities. For example, individual therapy sessions and healing modalities can cost anywhere from $85 to $200 per hour, making ongoing support unaffordable for many. Even with health insurance, high copays and deductibles can deter people from seeking necessary care.

Wellness services play a crucial role in maintaining physical and mental health. Regular participation in activities like yoga and fitness can reduce stress, improve mental health, and prevent chronic illnesses. Therapy and acupuncture can address mental health issues and chronic pain, respectively, leading to a better quality of life. However, when these services are financially out of reach, individuals are left without the support they need to maintain their well-being.

Making wellness services more accessible is essential for promoting health equity and improving overall public health. By reducing financial barriers and increasing availability, more people can benefit from these services, leading to healthier communities and reduced healthcare costs in the long run.
