Night Rose Deathcare

Kim Stravers of Night Rose Deathcare offers services for the dying and their loved ones through every stage of end of life, as well as for those who are simply curious about this oft-maligned subject. Some refer to those called to this work as death or end-of-life doulas, death coaches, death midwives, or other titles; Kim answers to all and considers herself a companion, a guide, and a keeper of death’s traditions. She offers logistical, practical, emotional, and spiritual support throughout Arizona’s greater Salt River Valley, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa, Cave Creek, Carefree, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Sun Lakes, and Sun City. Remote sessions are available for those who live outside of the Phoenix metro area or for whom in-person visits are not preferable or possible.

About Kim Stravers
Certified Death Midwife

Kim believes death is a miracle. It’s an event common to every living being on the planet yet unique to each one. Through death we connect to our natural environment, to our ancestors and descendants, to those we hold close, and to those we’ve never even met. To be invited into that most intimate space to bear witness and offer support as a death midwife is an incredible privilege, and it’s a responsibility she doesn’t take lightly.

The story of how she has come to tend death’s many gardens is complex, expansive, and blessed with the suffering and wisdom of much loss. She greets you with a robust academic and intellectual grounding, but her skills truly have bloomed within the hothouse of lived experience.

Kim is a voracious student committed to continual learning. She holds certificates from several deathwork programs and is always furthering her training. Her additional professional experience as a funeral attendant and celebrant provides a unique window into the arenas of care, disposition, and honoring the body after death across many faith and cultural traditions.
